How to sign up for the exam of Guide of Prague

The exam dates of Guide of Prague are regularly updated on our website. Usually, there is one exam date per month. There is always a closed date (the last date of submission of the application) marked next to the exam date.

The exam date: when you feel prepared, you submit an application for the exam. For the submission, you should use the special form – you can download it from our web (right next to every exam date) or we will send it to you after request (send us an email on tyrkys@tyrkys.cz). Current exam dates ale always published in the part ZKOUŠKY. The exam dates are successively updated. 

The application form: The application form has to be filled in on computer, including the diacritics. Then you need to sign it in your hand and send it to our office via post or bring it personally. We cannot accept the application form via e-mail, because it doesn´t contain the signature in your hand.

The notation of the academic title on the Certificate
If you have the academic title (for example PhDr., Ing, Mgr and so on) and you wish it to be noted at your exam Certificate, you are obliged to prove it. You need to show the officialy certified copy of your diploma (you can get it for 30CZK at every notary office or municipal council) or the valid ID with the title noted. This must be presented
in our office before the closed date.

The date of the settlement of the application form
You can arrange the application form personally from Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. Every exam date has its closed date, that means the date until that the application form must be delivered to our office and the application must be paied. Up to the same date, you should send us the other possible documents (for example the demand on inscription your academic title or the demand on recognition of the language compentence). After the closed date, no application form will be accepted. No exceptions are possible.

The inscription fee: the participants of the preparatory courses receive a special reduction from the inscription fee. There are few kinds of reductions depending on the period from the end of the course to the exam. That means, that even few years after ending the course, you may register to the exam, but you have to reckon that your reduction will be very small. You can find the current prices next to the exam dates.

The cancellation of the exam date
No fees: You don´t have to pay any fee if you cancel your exam date before so called close date. We don ´t reimburse the exam fee, but we may transer it to a different exam date in the same calendar year.

The appology of not presenting yourself at the date of exam:
If the attender doesn´t take the exam and he asks for the excuse of the exam date, he must give us the evidence of the Medical Certificate – he must be 4 days or longer in the state of work inability. After receiving that, you will have the possibility to take the exam in the closest date of the exam without any extra fees. In case that you do not accept the closest date of the exam, you can chose another one, but you will have to pay the price according to the pricelist. (In case of a long-term work inability or hospitalisation, we will review the situation individually.)
If the participant doesn´t present himself at the exam date and doesn´t provide the Medical certificate or he leaves during the exam, he loses the inscription fee.
