St. Martin goose  in Jeseniky

Roasted goose, dumplings, cabbage and beer is a meal that is inseparably connected to the feast of st. Martin. In Jeseniky, the preparation of this meal is based on traditional recipes and it is prepared from local ingredients of high quality. The visitors may enjoy the honey goose with white cabbage, red cabbage with cranberries or home made dumplings. All this will be prepared for visitors in Resort Dolni Morava.

The association Jeseniky – The Association of Tourism supports on long term basis the popularization of the traditional recipes from Jeseniky. It promotes as well the use of the local ingredients.

The lovers of meal made of goose livers may make a trip to Villa Elis, where the goose livers with chocolate will be served.

It is strongly recommended to drink a local beer to the roasted goose. In Jeseniky, there are brands Bran, Holba and Kvasslav.

The forest collonade in Priessnitz Health Resort tries to win the award „The Alley of the Year“

The collonade in Priessnitz Health Resort is very significant feature of the nature in Jeseniky. There are more than 260 trees, you may find there for example 370 years old linden tree. One part of the collonade is created by memorials donated by single people or states as a thanks for their recovery in this health resort. During the walk, you may stop at one of many rest areas and enjoy the view on beautiful Jeseniky. 

The alley is registered into a competition „The Alley of the Year 2013“. You may vote for it on the website www.alejroku.cz from 11th November 2013.

The Health Resort Bludov and the healthy lifestyle

The year 2013 in the health resort Bludov is carried in the spirit of the healthy lifestyle. The health resort joined two projects that focus on helping children and adults to lose some weight.

The first project is the programme The Epidemy of Obesity, the common problem. This project was created by the Pedagogy Faculty of the Palacky University in Olomouc. The main goal of this project is to determine the numbers of the obese people in the region and to introduce them the risks of it. In the health resort, the lectures concerning this problem will be prepared.

Fun For Fit is the second programme that you may meet in the health resort Bludov. It is a course for children from 8 to 16 years and it will take its place from 26th September to 28th November. During this course, the children will participate on divers activities, sport and educational programmes. This project should help them to take the healthy lifestyle as a natural thing.

The train Alois Nebel

The fictional figure Alois Nebel is inseparably connected to Jeseniky. In memory of him, the special train „Alois Nebel“ will start its tour through Jeseniky – from Zábřeh through Slezský Semmering to Jesenik and back.

The schedule of this train will be valid from 15th December 2013.
