The country tourism in the Bohemian Paradise

The Bohemian Paradise is a center of traditional Czech jewellery and glass production. Except from these famous activities and crafts, you may also meet the production of original textile or wooden kinds toys.

Some local products received the markt the Regional Product of the Bohemian Paradise. This mark guarantees the originality and ecological consideration of the products as well as the high share of the manual work used on its production. These products are to be bought for example in Liberec, Turnov, Mnichovo Hradiste or Mala Skala.

Traditional events:

• I have a horse – June – Lomnice nad Popelkou – the regional day of a horse
   
• The stone and jewellery in the Bohemian Paradise – July – Turnov – historical fair and many accompanying activities
   
• The fair of the straw Slamak – August – Stastna zeme in Radvanovice by Turnov – sculptures made of straw, straw castle and workshops for children and parents
   
• The fair of crafts in Sobotka – the end of August – Sobotka – the presentation of traditional crafts
   
• The fair of Mala Skala – September – Mala skala – the meeting of local artists, craftsmen, growers and breeders
   
• The glass city – September – Zelezny Brod – the feast of glass making with demonstration of the glass fabrication
   
• The Loaf of Semily – September – Semily – the feast of harvest
   

Touristic destination of local architecture

• Solc´s Estate in Sobotka – log house from 1811, today, there is the Gallery of Karel Samsinak and a lapidarium
   
• Beliste and Klemencovsko – exhibition of the Museum Zelezny Brod – traditional glass-making exhibition
   
• Dlask´s Estate in Dolanky by Turnov – classic home from the Jizera mountains from 1716, today, there is the etnographic exhibition of the Museum of the Bohemian Paradise in Turnov
   
• Stone house in Turnov – log city house with covered porch and attic baroque rooftop – today, there is the exhibition of glassmaking
