The new forests in Prague
The woody spaces in the Czech republic was incessantly reduced until the end of the 19th century in order to gain more arable soil. For example, in Prague, there were only 80 hectares of forests in the beginning of the 20th century. During the 20th century, the woody spaces started to expand. The forests were planted at the places where they used to be in the history as well as the new ones. One hundred years later, there were already 1230 hecares of forests in Prague.

Area: 40,3 hectares, cadastral area: Bechovice, Dolni Pocernice, the most frequent woody plants: sessile oak, silver birch, little-leaved linden, forests: 28,5 hectares, non-forest areas (meadows, pathways): 11,8 hectares
New seminars of the personal development
In the autumn of this year you may look for the new seminars of the personal development: Do Not Let the Others Manipulate You!, Effective Communication and Negotiation: How to Make Yourself Understood. These are one day seminars under the tuition of the experienced tutor PhDr. Jaroslava Dvorakova. All the seminars are led in Czech.
The Forest Park Letňany
Area: 36,29 hectares, cadastral area: Letňany, Kbely, the most frequent woody plants: the sessile oak, the small-leaved linden, the european ash, forests: 9,09 hectares, green vegetation: 10,7 hectares, meadows: 15,5 hectares.
The Mountain Rescue made 6000 rescue operations in the winter season 2012/2013
The number of the rescue operation of te Mountain Rescue of the Czech republic increases every year. In this year´s winter season, they made about 700 operations more than in the same period of time last year. The most frequent injuries are contusions, broken limbs and lensions of joints.
