Touristic Info Centers can obtain a new certificate
From 30th April 2013, there is a new certificational system of Touristic Info Centers (TIC) in the Czech Republic. In the first six weeks of the operation of the systém, 75 TIC already received the certificate. Both, the members and non-members of the Association of Touristic Info Centers of the Czech republic (ATIC CR) may apply for the certification.
The certificate is awarded by a five member comitee that is composed by deputies from CzechTourism, from Association of Region sof the Czech Republic, from ATIC CR and there is also one independent specialist.
The Agency CzechTourism offers to TICs that have applied for the certification a free Mystery shopping. The results of the Mystery shopping will extend the research made in 2012. Up today, there are 143 TICs that applied for the certification. According to the director general of the CzechTourism, Rostislav Vondruska, it is pleasing that the TICs want to improve their services and that they want to reach the European quality.
Miroslav Foltyn, the president of ATIC CR, explains, that the United System of Certification will remove the duplicity in the certifications and that it will rise the quality of the Czech Touristic Info Centers.
In the beginning of July 2013, the numbers of the certified TICs in czech regions were following:
- Usti nad Labem Region: 10 TICs
- Liberec Region: 2 TICs
- Vysocina Region: 2 TICs
- Central Bohemian Region: 1 TIC
- Olomouc Region: 1 TIC
- Hradec Králové Region: 3 TICs
- Pardubice Region: 35 TICs
- South Moravian Region: 21 TICs
