The Old Sewage Plant in Bubenec

The Eco-technical Museum will present to its visitors the original technologies of the sewage treatments in Prague. The tour is composed of few follow-up parts. The Eco-technical Museum prepared for its visitors two tours.

THE TOUR A
This tour is composed of:
 

1. The crypt of the water wheel in the underground – it is the place where the sewage came from the Prague gutters. The crypt is situated 5 metres under the surface and there is a water wheel (6 metres in diameter). The main goal of this wheel was to propulse the airing system.
    
2. The dome of the catcher of the sand in the underground – this is the place where all the sewage used to run. The first selection of the impurities from the water was made here.
    
3. The engine room of the sediment pumps in the underground – in the engine room, there are the pumps that drained the sediments out of the water. The sediments were led to the sediment basins.
    
4. The central hall on the ground floor – the collection of the cisterns.
    
5. The steam engine room and boiler room – there are the steam engines Breitfeld and Danek from 1903. They are fully functional until today.
    
6. The sediment basins – at the end of the tour, the visitors will see 10 big sediment basins (90 metres long, 6 metres wide, average depth: 2,7 m3). The total capacity of these basins is 12 000 m3.
    

The number of visitors in the group is limited on 30 people.

group ticket (6 – 15 people): 2 100 CZK
group ticket (16 – 30 people): 3 600 CZK
single ticket: 150 CZK
students, retired and handicapped people: 80 CZK
 

THE TOUR B

It is the tour A enlarged of the visit of the 300 long sewage gallery. The visitors are equipped by helmets and torches and are accompagned by the guide during the whole visit.
The number of visitors in the group is limited on 15 people.
 

ENTRANCE FEES:
group ticket 6 – 10 people: 2 300 CZK
group ticket 11 – 15 people: 3 000 CZK
single ticket: 250 CZK
students, retired and handicapped people: 130 CZK
 

ATTENTION: The tour of the Eco-technical Museum is not barrier-free.

The entrance is prohibited to the children under 6 years.
