Changes in the airport controls - the transport of liquids

Within the new regulation of the European Union, the rules of the controls at the airports concerning the transport of liquids change.

From the 31st January 2014. This regulation is valid in all the member states of the European Union.
The Prague Airport prepares to change the basic procedures concerning the controls of the transported liquids.
 
There are following changes:

The liquid goods bought at the airport shops has to be put with its receipt into the special, transparent bat (the STEB). This bag has to be marked by the sign of the airport where the goods were bought. While changing the airport, the passenger has to present the goods to a special control with scanner. The non-liquid goods bought more than 3 hours before the departure time must be presented as well.

The scanners will be also used for the control of drugs and child nourishment (when its volume exceedes 100 ml). At the Prague Airport, the scanners are placed at both terminals: Terminal 1 - all the departure halls, Terminal 2 - the space marked as „The Medical line.“

All the other rules concerning the transport of liquids in the carry-on baggage remain the same. The passenger may transport up to 100 ml of liquid placed in a special plastic bag at the volume of 1l. Their objects has to be presented to a special control before entering the plane.
