Glass factory Moser

The basic information about the glass factory and crystal Moser.

The glassfactory Moser has always been connected with the very significant glassmaker Ludwig Moser. He lived at the edge of the 19th and 20th centuries. The first workshop of Ludwig Moser was situated in Karlovy Vary, but in 1893 the production moved to his very own glassworks and it is still situated at that place. This glasswork had a very good reputation and L. Moser became the supplier for the court of the emperor Franz Joseph Ist or of the king Edward VIIth.

In 1922, the glassfactory became the biggest producer of the decorative and luxurious glass in Czechoslovakia. The main pillar of the succes is the production of the ecologic, unleaded glass. This crystal could be produced in a vast colour range, so it is perfectly suitable for all kinds of products. Many significant artists and glassmakers cooperate with the glass factory Moser in these days.

The glassfactory presented its product at the World Expos and it gained a special award.
In 1925, the first store of the Moser glass and crystal was opened in Prague. From that time, the net of these stores expands all around the world.

The 155 years long history of the glass factory Moser is documented in the museums of the glass factory Moser in Prague or in Karlovy Vary.
