International Triennal of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec 2014
This year‘ s International Triennal of Glass and Jewellery will take its place in Jablonec nad Nisou from 7th June to 28th October 2014. You may visit its exhibitions in the Museum of Glass and Jewellery - in its Main building and in the Gallery Belveder -, in the Gallery N and in the church of st. Anna.
The International Triennal of Glass and Jewellery aims to present the current glass industry and jewellery to experts as well as to the public. The second goal is to present the North Bohemia as a very unique center of the glass-making region. One of the other goals is to introduce the Museum of Glass and Jewellery as the main place of presentation of the glass and jewellery in the Czech Republic.
Exhibitions organized within the International Triennal of Glass and Jewellery:
- Trends. Desing. Production - 7th June - 28th October 2014 - The Main building of the Museum of Glass and Jewellery - the largest exhibition of glass and jewellery in the Czech Republic.
- AND THAT’S US! - 25th June - 31st August 2014 - The Gallery N - exhibition of works of students of professional high schools and universities.
- The Glass Republic - 26th June - 31st August 2014 - the church of st. Anna - a display of current glass works from all around the Czech Republic.
- International Symposium of Jewellery
Symposium: 30th June - 3rd July 2014 - SUPS and VOS Jablonec nad Nisou - student symposium on JEWELLERY with participants from the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Poland and Germany.
Exhibition: 3rd July - 28th October 2014 - The Gallery Belveder
Accompanying events:
- Fragile Beauty 2014 - 7th and 10th August 2014 - selling exhibition of glass and jewellery with creative workshops, cultural programmes and fashion shows.
- Glass Sunrise - September 2014 - the third year of seminars and discussions concerning the present and the future of the Czech glass industry.
