The cancellation of the tour at the Travel Agency

If the client of the travel agency decides to cancel the already sealed contract, he is obliged to pay the cancellation fee. How much will you pay?

The height of the cancellation fee usually depends on the time period remaining before the beginning of the tour. That means, the sooner you cancel the tour, the less you will pay.

It is not a change in the contract when the travel agency increases the price of the tour in dependence on the exchange rate of the czech crown about more than 10% or the increase of the costs of transport. But the travel agency must inform its clients at least 20 days before the beginning of the tour. It is the one-side legal act, that means that the travel agency isn´t obliged to approve of your cancellation of the contract.

The contract could be cancelled by the travel agency as well – in case when the client didn´t fulfill the given conditions (for example didn´t pay the price).

Pursue the height of the cancellation fee – it should respond to the outlay of the travel agency for the cancellation of your contract. Too high cancellation fees are illegal and so invalid.

If you want to protect yourself from the possible cancellation, you may seal the insurance contract against the cancellation of the tour.
