The modern city cycling – 1st part

1st part of the four part series where you will meet the main advantages of the modern city cycling.

The support from the local politicians:
The researches in german and italian cities show that thanks to the support of the local politician the number of people who use the bike regularly increased. In Freiburg, there is now 27% people that uses the bike in order to go to work or to school and in Bolzano, it is 29%. The politics contributed to the construction of the compact cycling network and the spreaded their support by the innovative marketing strategies.
 

The fastest kind of transport in the city:
In the circuit of 5 kilometres is the bike the fastest kind of transport. In addition, you may stop whenever you want and visit the café or a shop. In the smaller cities, you may appreciate the beautiful nature, scenery or the sunset.
 

The reduction of the number of traffic jams.
Everyone of us has already been in a traffic jam, so we all know, that this situation is very unpleasant. No matter if we are in a car or we are crowded in a bus. People are in these situations stressed, frustrated and nervous.
By using the bike you will avoid the traffic jams, that happens very often, but you will also help to prevent them. Especially when you exchange the car for a bike.
 

The independence of seniors
The circuit in what the seniors live every day is only 5 kilometres. That´s the reason why they have only limited possibility to reach shops, restaurants and other interesting places. Thanks to the bike, this circuit may be enlarged, so the quality of our seniors increases.
 

The exchange of car for a bike
Many drivers would like to avoid the cycle of traffic and traffic jams, the high prices of the fuels and the stress. The research that was led in Graz shows that many drivers travel by car every day only because of the habit. The same research imparts that the 11% of car drivers would chose a bike if it was possible.
