The Museum of the water engineering in Prague and the water treatment plant in Podoli

During the visit of the Museum of the water engineering in Prague and the water treatment plant in Podoli, you will discover the technologies of the treatment of water and the history of the highly visible white building next to the river Vltava. The Museum is under the administration of Prazske vodovody a kanalizace, a.s.

TOUR:

• The Museum of the water engineering – the exposition is chronologicaly divided, so it offers the complete overview of the history of the water engineering in Prague from 12th century. The visitors may see the water pipes from the antique times, the part of the Castle water pipe from the court of Rudolf IInd or the original pump from 1830. The Museum is proud to present a big collection of different kinds of water pipes or water metres. From the hall of the Museum, the visitors may see through the glass wall the Englel´s filtration hall.
   
• The Water treatment plant in Podoli – at this tour, the visitors will see the pump station of the water from Vltava, the chemical preparation plant of the water and waterworks tower (the tower offers the amazing view on the panorama of Prague).

ATTENTION: the tour isn´t barrier free, the fitness is needed (for example for the climbing of the waterworks tower).
