The newest info from the Czech Republic

During this weekend, some regions of the Czech Republic were hit by floods. Motorway and aerial kinds of transport work without any serious restrictions, the trains arrive without significant delays as well. The situation in the capital city is stabilized.

In Prague, there are some subway station closed, so they will be protected against the flooding. The spare transport is provided by buses and trams labeled XA, XB and XC. Because of the enlargement of the number of vehicles of the public transport, the traffic situation in Prague is complicated and it is regulated by the Police. Prague and City circuits are in order.

The Charles´s bridge is closed, but the UNESCO sites in Bohemia are accessible, for example in Cesky Krumlov, there are regular touristic opening hours and events.

The Association of hotels and restaurants on the Czech Republic hasn´t remarqued any decrease of number of guests or of delays of reservations in Prague and in regions.

The National Gallery in Prague closes precautionary the Convent of st. Anezka and the Valdstejnska riding hall. These objects will be closed until Friday, 7th June 2013. The other objects (the TriaNGl at the Prague castle and Fair Exhibition Hall – Veletržní palác) will be opened according to valid opening hours. The masterpieces are not endangered and there is no danger of flooding of the areas. In the Convent of st. Anezka, the offices situated in lower decks were cleared out. The exhibits in the Valdstejnska riding hall were relocated because of the increased humidity. 
 

The Jewish Museum in Prague is precautionary closed as well – it will open probably on Wednesday. The Museum will inform about other possible changes in its opening hours.
