To the World of Stories with CzechTourism

The Czech republic is a place that is tightly connected to a big amount of stories. The Agency CzechTourism wants to attract the visitors to the places that have the potential to attract by its stories. It is the unique project in the field of the excursion tourism.

The Czech republic is considered as a cheap destination in the Central Europe. The Agency CzechTourism is working hardly on the amelioration of the image of the Czech republic. According to Rostislav Vondruska, the director general of the CzechTourism, it is necessary to make the tourists realise that the Czech republic has plenty of things to offer. He believes that in the future, the visitors will know precisely which places they just "must" visit.

This campaign is one of the first outcomes of the long term work of the CzechTourism on the amelioration of the image of the CzechRepublic. It absolutely changes the way how the tourists received the interesting information. At the palce of the traditional leaflets, the tourists will receive the micro-stories. These micro-stories will describe the place in an interesting way: in a form of a story, the visitors will discover the architecture, the history and the political and sociological development.

On the website www.stories.czechtourism.com, the new database of all these stories will be created. Once the database is big enough, the unique book will be released. This book will help to discover the Czech republic in a very interesting and catchy way.

Except from the CzechTourism, there are other partners that participate on this project. They are mostly the regional partners that create the stories about the region they know the best. In the future, the CzechTourism wants to adress to visitors themselves, so they will have the possibility to create an interesting story as well.

About the campaing To the World of Stories
The campaing is one part of the marketing project that focuses on re-branding. This year, the campaing aims to the European markets, but next year, its main goal will be to attract the overseas markets – let´s mention for example the USA, Brasil or China. This campain contains all kind of the advertising – ads on the Internet, outdoor ads or printed ads. It is co-financed by the funds of the European Union. The total costs of this campaign are 29 mil. CZK. On the creation of the campain participate for example: the Agency Mark/BBDO, the Studio AnFas, the Studio Marvil and Red Media.
