When is it the best time to contact a travel agency? When is it the most advantageous to receive the job of a delegate?

Many current and potential delegats ask these questions. But there isn´t any correct answer. The possibility of receiving the job of a delegate exists all the time and in every part of the touristic season.

The travel agencies – touroperators – publish a new catalogue in the beginning of the season. They also prepare the marketing strategies and so on. Briefly, they need to provide all the services to the clients. Particularly that means the contracts with hotels where the clients will be accomodated, the contracts with the providers of transport, the contracts with the insurance companies...simply, everything needs to be prepared.

Travel agencies also need to have the delegates at disposal. How do they proceed and how should the delegate react?
 

• The delegate works at the same destination as the last season. The travel agecy was satisfied by the services of the delegate in the destination and the delegate liked the cooperation as well – usually, both sides agree on the prolongation of the contract. There is no change and on the first sight it may seem like there is no chance to become a delegate there.
   
• The travel agency wasn´t satisfied by the work of a delegate, so there is a competition for the work post. Here you have a big chance to succeed.
   
• The travel agency was satisfied, but the delegate desires a change – he wants to discover a new destination. He will receive the new job offer from his so called maternal travel agency of he could change the travel agency – and even here is a big chance to receive a job.
   
• The delegate doesn´t want to continue with this job (for example from the family reasons) – and again, there is a big chance to gain a job.
   
• The travel agency announces the new destination and needs more delegates – that could be your chance to get a job

From the information mentioned above, you can see that the best time for asking for a delegate work post is at the end of the season or in the very beginning of the new one. The travel agencies want to have all of theirs sessions and they want to be sure that their clients will have the best delegates at disposal.

Everything is closed and it seems like there is no chance to get a job. Like a delegate – beginner, do not lose hope.
There is always a chance to receive a delegate work post!!!!! You just need to be ready to leave, just wait for your opportunity attentively.

Why? There are alway delegates, who couldn´t leave to the destination because of

• serious family conditions
• medical conditions
• any other situation that could happen in life
• many delegates have to return home because of any already mentioned conditions

And the travel agencies start searching for someone, who is able and ready to leave almost immediately. Don´t you have any other job? Do not hesitate and go!!!!

You will gain the experiences, that means that in the next season, you may chose the destination and travel agency by yourself.
