The Night of Churches 2013 – thematic circuits

The Night of Chuches is a cultural event that atract the visitors from the general public to churches and prayer rooms, where they may meet and speak with beleivers, participate on cultural events or join one of the creative workshops.

During the Night of Churches, you may visit many objects. You may chose according to their locality or interesting program prepared for you. The organizers prepared seven thematic circuits as well. While taking one of the thematic circuits, you should be aware that you may stay in one church only for half an hour in order to return to the beginning of the circuit before the end of the evening.
 

The circuits focus on the churches with one theme or on churches that are situated in the same locality.
 

CIRCUIT A – BY THE SUBWAY – from the last station of the B line to the last station of the C line

• Prague 14 – Cerny Most, the prayer room of CB
• Prague 14 – Kyje, the church of st. Bartholomew
• Prague – Dolni Pocernice – the church of the Assumption of Our Lady
• Prague – Petrovice – the church of st. Jacob Older
• Prague 11 – Chodov – the church of Jan Milic from Kromeriz
   

CIRCUIT B – THE SOUTHERN PART OF PRAGUE – by the bus no. 165

• Prague 11 – Chodov – the church of Mother Teresa
• Prague – Seberov – the church of CB
• Prague – Seberov (Hrncire) – the church of st. Procopius
• Prague – Kunratice, the church of st. Jacob Older
• Prague 12 – Modrany – the prayer house of ČCE
• Prague – Zbraslav, the church of st. Jacob Older
   

CIRCUIT C – TO THE PRAGUE ORGAN – How does the night Prague sound like?

• Prague 1 – The New Town, the church of Our Lady of the Snows
• Prague 1 – The Old Town, the basilic of st. Jacob Older
• Prague 1 – The Old Town, the church of Our Lady before Tyn
• Prague 1 – The Old Town, the church of Salvador
• Prague 2 – Vinohrady, the church of st. Ludmila
• Prague 5 – Smichov, the church of st. Venceslas
• Prague 6 – Brevnov, the basilic of st. Margaret
• Prague 8 – Karlin, the church of st. Cyril and Methodius
   

CIRCUIT D. – CHURCHES ON THE ROYAL WAY

• Prague 1 – The Old Town, cathedral of Our Lady before Tyn
• Prague 1 – The Old Town, cathedral of st. Clement
• Prague 1 – The Old Town, the church the most holy Salvador
• Prague 1 – Mala Strana – the church of st. Nicolas
• Prague 1 – Hradcany, cathedral of st. Vitus, Venceslas and Adalbert
   

CIRCUIT E. – TO THE NIGHT CHURCHES ON BIKE – cycleway, total distance: 14 km.

• Prague 11 – Chodov, the church of Mother Teresa
• Prague 11 – Chodov, the church of Milic from Kromeriz
• Prague 15 – Hostivar, the church of the Martydom of st. John Baptist
• Prague – Petrovice, the church of st. Jacob Older
• Prague 22 – Uhrineves, the church of ČCE
   

CIRCUIT F. – ONE NIGHT IN NINE CHURCHES – ecumenic

• Prague 2 – Vinohrady, the prayer room of CASD
• Prague 2 – The New Town, the prayer room of ECM
• Prague 1 – The New Town, the church of the Most Holy Trinity
• Prague 1 – The Old Town, the church of st. Michael in Jirchare
• Prague 1 – The Old Town, the rotunda of st. Cross
• Prague 1 – The Old Town, the church of st. Martin in the wall
• Prague 1 – The Old Town, the church of st. Giles
• Prague 1 – The Old Town, the church of st. Nicolas
• Prague 1 – The New Town, the prayer room of CB
   

CIRCUIT G. – TO THE PATRONS OF THE CZECH LANDS – the way of st. Venceslas

• Prague 8 – Bohnice, the church of st. Venceslas
• Prague 1 – Hradcany, cathedral of st. Vitus, Venceslas and Adalbert
• Prague 5 – Smichov, the church of st. Venceslas
• Prague 2 – The New Town, the church of st. Venceslas on Zderadka
• Prague 4 – Nusle, the church of st. Venceslas
• Prague 4 – Krc, the chapel of st. Venceslas
• Prague 10 – Vrsovice, the church of st. Venceslas
