The Night of Churches in the Central Bohemian region – 1st part

Interesting objects of the Night of Churches 2013 in the Central Bohemian region, 1st part.

the church of the Birth of st. John Baptist
Osov
After the Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary that starts at 6pm, the meeting with the history of the church, of the village and of the family Schwarzenberg will take place (6:30pm). The lovers of Karel Capek should visit this church, because there will be a theatre piece prepared according to the biblical story from his Book of Apocryphas (7pm). The rest of the evening will be devoted to the individual tours around the church, to the personal meditations or to the visit of the mini exhibition of historical chasubles.
 

the church of Hus
Plk. Stribrneho 686, Kladno
In the beginning of the evening, the tour around the building and the former synagogue will take its place (7pm), it will be followed by the lecture about the interesting history of the building (8pm). The visitors will see the demonstration of the life of the local parish group (9pm). During the whole evening, there will be possibility to hear the Hussite choir, the Biblical word and to medidate. The evening will be ended by the final prayer and the blessing (9:50pm).
 

the church of ČCE
Gen. Klapálka 1394/37, Kladno
The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren prepared for visitors of its church program called „We sing with children“ (6pm) that will be spaced out by reading from the book Children write to God. The other part of the evening will be dedicated to music  - to the Songs of Taizé (6:50pm) and to organ music (7:20pm). Even a theatre piece is prepared – and a professional actor who is a member of the parish group will have a role in it – (8:15pm). In the end, there will be prepared the biblical – not very traditional – hostility (9:30pm).
 

the church of Dr. Karel Farsky
Sultysova 603/1, Slany
This Hussite church wants the visitors to meet different aspects of the christian life. That´s the reason why there will be a commented hussite church service (6pm). Within the program The Music from Heaven (7pm), the visitors will hear the presentation of the music from the whole world – from the Far East, from the North-American Indians, from India, from Arabic-islamic culture and so on. The reading from the book of C. S. Lewis: The Screwtape Letters is prepared as well. At the end of the evening, there will be some time for prayers and discussions.
